Day Rate – Forest Craftsman
Date published: 30 March, 2015
This item is for a forest craftsman to undertake various work required in native woodlands that are not detailed in the list of available Woodland Improvement Grant standard cost capital items but will meet the objectives and management reasons of the Woodland Improvement Grant – Habitats and Species option. You must provide justification for this cost in your supporting information.
Examples of the works that could be covered by day rates are ring-barking or felling of exotic trees species in native woodlands where the management prescriptions require their removal. You must record the location of the specific works being undertaken under the day rate on a map that will accompany your application.
You should also keep records of the timesheets of those carrying out these works as these may be requested as evidence when verifying the claims paid to you.
For all work undertaken we require the results to be in place for a period of at least five years following the date you received your payment.
