Upgrade Path
Date published: 30 March, 2015
This item is for the upgrading of existing surfaced path (whinstone / granite dust).
Your Woods In and Around Towns Operational Plan and map must detail the width and length of the path. If the width is going to vary then this must be shown on the map so that the total square metres can be verified.
Path upgrade:
- scrape off vegetation, debris, and spread to side of route to reveal remaining surfacing material
- lay up to 100 millimetre depth Type 1 granular sub-base, rolled / compacted
- lay surfacing layer of 25 millimetre depth whinstone or granite dust, rolled / compacted
- path width will normally be 1.8 metres
